Full brand overhaul project — identity system and tone of voice
Branding & Identity

Full brand overhaul

Consumer lifestyle brand — Nairobi

Launched 3 weeks ahead of schedule.

The challenge

The brand had grown faster than its identity. Every channel looked like a different company: the logo was being stretched into contexts it was never designed for, colours shifted between print and digital, and there was no shared language for how the brand should sound.

The brief was a complete rebuild — but with a hard deadline tied to a product launch, and a team that needed to keep publishing throughout.

Our approach

We started with strategy, not sketches: a positioning workshop, a competitor audit, and a tone-of-voice definition that the whole team signed off before any visual work began.

The identity system was then built as a kit of parts — logo suite, colour and type ramps, layout grids, and templates for the surfaces the team actually uses week to week — so consistency became the default rather than a discipline.

The result
3 wks
Ahead of schedule
1
Brand system, every surface

The full system — guidelines, templates, and production assets — shipped three weeks ahead of the launch deadline, and the team could apply the brand without design support from day one.
